About the event

Strength and Reflection, Honoring Family Stories

People will be invited to engage and remember themselves to their family stories toward healing and self-determination by putting their own medicine in a community ofrenda that we will build together as they tell their stories. Abuela Tlazoltiani will talk about the importance of witnessing our family stories with each other as a way of community and cultural reconnection. She will also lead us in the liberatory practice of connecting with the stories in our own bodies and voices through the medicina of cantos. And re-member as an act of bringing ourselves back. Of reconnecting. Of calling back the Spirit.  Of honoring our primary home, which is our bodies.

(We will be setting up behind the PHP Urban Ecology Center)
